This Privacy Statement applies to the Asian Journal of Interdisciplinary Research (AJIR), published by Asian Research Association. We are committed to protecting the privacy of all individuals who interact with our journal, including authors, reviewers, editors, and readers.
The names and email addresses entered on the AJIR website and submission system will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal. Specifically, personal information is collected when users:
- Register for an author account
- Submit a manuscript
- Register as a reviewer or editorial board member
- Subscribe to e-alerts or notifications
- Contact us through the contact form
Personal data collected by AJIR is used solely for:
- Managing the manuscript submission and peer review process
- Communicating with authors regarding the status of their submissions
- Sending editorial notifications and e-alerts (where subscribed)
- Maintaining author and reviewer accounts
- Publishing accepted manuscripts (author names, affiliations, and ORCID iDs are made publicly available)
Personal information will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party without explicit consent, except as required by law.
AJIR uses the following third-party services that may process personal data as part of their operation:
- Crossref — for DOI registration (author names and article metadata are shared)
- iThenticate — for plagiarism screening (manuscript content is submitted; personal data is handled per iThenticate's privacy policy)
- Portico / J-Gate / Keepers Registry — for digital archiving (published article metadata is shared)
Personal data is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. Author and reviewer account data is retained for the lifetime of the journal's operation. Users may request deletion of their account by contacting us at support@asianresassoc.org.
The AJIR website uses session cookies to maintain user login state. These cookies do not store personal information and are deleted when the browser session ends. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Passwords are stored in encrypted form and are never transmitted in plain text.
Users have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their personal data held by AJIR. To exercise these rights, please contact us at support@asianresassoc.org. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.
